DJ. MC. Party Maker.

Almost 10 years ago I realized how much I had enjoyed making people happy. It didn’t really surprise me, my years as a missionary and summers as a camp counselor still have great meaning to me. Someone suggested that I start a business doing family-friendly teen parties because it was so easy and fun to make a birthday feel like a *party*. I loved the idea, but just didn’t see how that could be possible.

One of my best friends was getting married and asked me to DJ his wedding reception. I hadn’t ever done anything quite that like, but was excited at the chance. He loved it, as did his family. Another one of my closest friends (his sister) asked me to do her wedding as well. My family loved it, and wanted me to DJ my brother’s wedding. Each time the nights ran smoother and got more fun! I realized I had a knack for this, but wasn’t sure how to get my feet off the ground.

A friend saw some potential in me, and gave me a great gift to get me started--She gave me a chance. My first gig covered my first set of speakers. Since that day, I’ve done more weddings including ceremonies, run mother-son dodgeball nights, helped Dads and Daughters dance the night away, done multiple special events, and danced until I was spent at local churches. Every song and game is vetted beforehand to make sure that it’s safe for ears of all ages, from grand kids to grandparents.

Turns out that being a DJ was the exact niche I was looking for--One that can foster and create wholesome and family-friendly events where people can take the time to connect one on one and walk away saying, “Now *that* was a party.”
